Choose the carrier around the tools
A matching connection is only part of the answer.
Travel drive and attachment drive are separate questions. A carrier can use hydraulic wheel motors while its implement is driven by a mechanical PTO. Match the exact tool, mounting and power system together.
| Platform | Connection and implement drive | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| K820 / K820 Pro / K1500 | 35 mm K35 connection; hydraulic implement drive | Exact attachment variant, hydraulic demand and support arrangement. |
| K2100 | 70 mm K70 connection; hydraulic implement drive | A 70 mm mount does not automatically make a mechanical PTO implement suitable. |
| Kersten E-series carriers | Electric motor powers a hydraulic attachment system; listed K820 Pro E and K1500 E use 35 mm connections | Attachment compatibility, supplied batteries, charging and working endurance. |
| UBS Hydro / Alpin | 70 mm Quick-Attach; mechanical implement PTO with hydraulic wheel drive | Hydro 9 / 13 / 16 or Alpin carrier, PTO version, tool loading and steering package. |
| Matador M-Trac | Electric wheel drive and electric PTO | Exact attachment interface, speed, adapter or wiring and battery configuration. |
Get more from each maintenance round
Choose the result, then the working method.
Prevent the build-up
Routine sweeping removes loose material before it accumulates at edges and in joints. Specify collection where the debris needs to leave the surface, rather than simply moving elsewhere.
Recover the surface
Established moss, weeds and compacted deposits may need a weedbrush or renovation tool. Follow removal with collection and a maintenance plan matched to the surface.
Plan repeat treatment
Thermal and electrical tools treat vegetation rather than collect debris. Allow for repeat visits, energy or water supply and any separate clearance needed to keep the route tidy.
Extend a compatible power unit
Build a year-round attachment programme.
Use the same carrier for different seasons where the selected tools are compatible. These range guides include several carrier types: select the pedestrian version and confirm fit before ordering.
Artificial surfaces need the right action. Static wide-area brushes mainly groom fibres and redistribute infill. Powered reciprocating brushes provide more active agitation. Sweepers can remove contamination and loosen or redistribute infill. Match the method and brush to the specific sand-filled, rubber-crumb or water-based surface.
Plan the working day
Will the complete machine fit your route?
Measure the tightest point
Check gates, turns, storage doors and loading ramps. Cutting or brush width is not overall machine width; allow for guards, collectors and handles.
Check energy and transport
Plan charging, spare batteries, fuel, gas or heated water around the actual workload. Include the attachment and accessories in transport weights and loading plans.
Try it on your own surface
Compare steering, controls, visibility and tool behaviour with the operators who will use it. Vibration and noise vary by machine, attachment and task; use the exact specification.

Before choosing
Your pedestrian machine questions answered.
What is the practical difference between K series and UBS?
K-series implements are driven hydraulically. UBS uses mechanical PTO for the implement and hydraulics for travel. Start with the tools you need: compact sweeping and brushing often suit K carriers; a broader mowing, path-recovery and soil-work programme may call for the matched UBS range.
Where does UBS Hydro II 13 fit in the range?
Hydro II 13 sits between Hydro 9 and the twin-cylinder Hydro 16. Its GX390 engine and matched attachment range make it a useful option for professional surface care, flail mowing, gravel renovation and soil preparation. Confirm the complete carrier, attachment and steering configuration.
Is HyCut a pedestrian two-wheel tractor?
No. HyCut is a dedicated remote-controlled tracked mower. It belongs alongside the pedestrian and operator-controlled grounds-care range, but its operating format, loading weight and mowing application differ from a walk-behind carrier.
Should I buy a dedicated machine or a two-wheel tractor?
A dedicated machine suits a recurring main task, such as weed brushing or rough-cut mowing. A two-wheel tractor suits a mix of work where compatible tools can share one carrier. Compare the complete tool package, storage, transport and working time.
Are all 70 mm attachments interchangeable?
No. Connection size does not establish drive compatibility. K2100 hydraulic tools and UBS mechanical PTO tools require the correct version and installation. Check the full carrier and attachment codes.
Does battery power mean electric PTO?
No. Kersten E-series carriers use an electric motor with a hydraulic attachment system. Matador M-Trac uses electric PTO. Weedo II E uses a powered brush to remove growth mechanically; Zasso and the Kersten lance use electricity itself as the treatment method.
How long will an electric machine run?
Runtime depends on the battery configuration, attachment load, working speed, terrain and treatment pattern. Specify the real working round and charging opportunities rather than relying on one general runtime figure.
Will one attachment sweep away established weeds?
A sweeper is primarily for loose material and regular surface maintenance. Established weeds, moss and compacted deposits may need a weedbrush first. The loosened material still needs removing afterwards.
Can these machines maintain artificial sports surfaces?
Compatible carriers can operate suitable grooming and cleaning tools. Match the brush action to the surface type, infill and maintenance instructions. Routine grooming, active agitation and contamination removal call for different tools.
Are batteries, attachments and accessories included in the price?
Not automatically. The displayed prices are individual product listings excluding VAT. Photos may include optional attachments or a carried water system. Confirm blades, tools, batteries, charger, gas equipment and accessories in a complete quotation.
What should I send before a demonstration or quotation?
Send the surfaces and main tasks, photos, narrowest access dimensions, typical working duration and loading arrangements. For attachment purchases, include the exact carrier model and connection. For electric or thermal equipment, describe charging, energy and water access.
