Hot-water weeding. Useful cleaning capability.
A vehicle-carried Pro system brings its own diesel-powered pump and water heating. Hose reach lets the operator work away from the parked carrier, while on-demand heating supports refilling during the working day.
Single operator · on-demand hot water
Eco Weedkiller Pro 10 / Pro 10+
Treat weeds with approximately 100°C water, then change mode and tooling for pressure washing. The Kubota diesel-powered unit heats water during work and carries its own supply.
Choose it when: One operator needs a mobile weeding and cleaning system for routes reached from a suitable pickup, van or trailer.
- 400 litre water tank · 80 m treatment hose
- Current listing: 14 L/min at 99–101°C
- Pressure-washing mode: up to 150 bar
- Listed weight: 460 kg empty · 950 kg filled
The linked listing is titled PRO10 and describes the updated Pro 10+ specification. Confirm the supplied version and installation weight.
Two operators · dual heating
Eco Weedkiller Pro 20 Dual
Two heater circuits and a dual-hose arrangement let a team treat separate areas from one carrier. The Hatz diesel-powered system also supports pressure-washing work.
Choose it when: Two operators can work productively together and your carrier, water supply and route plan support the larger installation.
- 310 litre integrated water tank
- Selectable 10 / 20 L/min listed weed-control output
- Two 93 kW water heaters · maximum pressure 150 bar
- Listed weight: 610 kg empty · 1000 kg filled
Confirm treatment-hose lengths, reels and any high-output hose option in the quotation; published configurations differ.
Plan the water supply as carefully as the machine. At 14 L/min, 400 litres represents approximately 29 minutes of continuous Pro 10 discharge. At 20 L/min, 310 litres represents approximately 15.5 minutes for the Pro 20. These are simple tank-volume calculations, not route or area guarantees; actual working time includes movement, treatment technique and refilling.
Confirm the unit’s filled weight against the remaining vehicle payload and axle capacities. Specify restraint, loading access, ventilation and exhaust arrangements for the proposed pickup, van or trailer installation.
Turn a suitable 4x4 into a snow-clearing vehicle.
Clear entrances, car parks and access routes using a blade matched to the vehicle. The front receiver and its vehicle-specific fitting are part of the working system.
Pickup / 4x4 · fully electric control
Faulkner Brothers 2.0 m 4x4 snow plough
Electric actuators lift, lower and angle the blade from the cab. The aluminium mouldboard reduces the weight carried ahead of the front axle; a sprung protection system and replaceable urethane edge support regular winter work.
Choose it when: Your exact vehicle has an approved front receiver installation and suitable axle capacity for a cab-controlled snow blade.
- 200 cm blade width · 180 cm listed angled width
- 60 cm blade height · 115 kg listed plough weight
- 12 V vehicle-powered lift, lower and angling
- Vehicle-specific front 2-inch receiver sold separately
Specify the complete front installation
The receiver is as important as the blade.
Vehicle-specific mounting: A 2-inch receiver opening is a connection size, not a fitment approval. Confirm the receiver bracket for the exact make, model and year.
Front load: Include the receiver and fittings, and account for the blade’s leverage ahead of the axle.
Working clearance: Check blade coverage when angled, transport height, visibility and lighting.
Off-season handling: Discuss the optional wheel kit and a suitable storage position.
Choose the correct Faulkner Brothers model. This 2.0 m 4x4 plough uses the carrier’s 12 V system for powered lift and angling. It differs from the UTV electric-lift model, which uses an integrated battery and manual blade angling.
Rear-mounted spreading. Choose the control you need.
Lehner POLARO spreaders use 12 V power without hydraulic or mechanical PTO drive. Manual-dosing models set flow at the machine; POLARO E adds dosage adjustment from the cab.
Compact rear mount · manual dosage
Lehner POLARO 110 — manual dosing
Set material flow at the spreader and adjust spinner speed from the cab. Separate agitator and spinner drives let the material-feed mechanism work independently of the selected spread width.
Choose it when: Your treatment rate changes infrequently and you want a compact rear-mounted 12 V spreader.
- 110 litre hopper · 38 kg empty weight
- Manual flow setting · LAS cab control
- 0.8–6 m adjustable spreading width
- Approx. 140 kg salt capacity listed
Cab-controlled dosage · mid-size hopper
Lehner POLARO 170 E
Electric dosing adds flow adjustment at the driver’s seat, alongside spreading-width control. It suits routes where the treatment requirement changes between paths, entrances and open areas.
Choose it when: You need remote dosage adjustment and the verified rear mounting can carry the filled load.
- 170 litre hopper · 42 kg empty weight
- 12 V supply · LAS4 cab controller
- 0.8–6 m adjustable spreading width
- Approx. 220 kg salt capacity listed
Product-listing photograph shows the 170 litre spreader on a tractor. Specify the mounting for your road vehicle.
Cab-controlled dosage · larger rear hopper
Lehner POLARO 250 E
More material capacity can reduce refill frequency. The extra rear load and leverage must suit the vehicle and bracket; hopper size alone does not establish compatibility.
Choose it when: A rear-mounted installation suits your vehicle and you can carry more material without exceeding its load limits.
- 250 litre hopper · 53 kg empty weight
- 12 V supply · electric dosage adjustment
- 0.8–6 m adjustable spreading width
- Approx. 325 kg salt capacity listed
Product-listing photograph shows the 250 litre spreader on a forklift. Specify the mounting for your road vehicle.
Choose the mounting for the filled load. Rear mounts may use an appropriate tailboard, drawbar or other vehicle-specific bracket. Confirm the bracket rating and installation geometry rather than assuming the tailgate itself can carry the spreader.
Electric dosing is not automatically speed-dependent dosing. Specify the appropriate AUTO-DOSIS option or a purpose-built LISA version if the rate must adjust with vehicle speed. Calibrate for the chosen material and treatment plan.
Use the loading bed for longer spreading rounds.
The POLARO L and XL use a screw conveyor and automatic vibrator to feed the spreading disc. Cab controls adjust conveyor output and spreading width; the installation also needs suitable anchoring and spinner height.
Loading-bed installation · screw feed
Lehner POLARO L — 380 litre
A screw conveyor feeds material to the spreading disc, with dosage and width controlled from the cab. The loading-bed format suits an installation planned around route capacity and secure anchoring.
Choose it when: Your loading bed and remaining payload suit a 380 litre unit and the intended material fill.
- 380 litre hopper · 140 kg empty weight
- 12 V drive · 0.8–6 m spreading width
- Approx. 500 kg salt capacity
- Cab control with programmable memory settings
Larger loading-bed installation
Lehner POLARO XL — 550 litre
The larger hopper supports longer rounds where the carrier can accommodate its footprint and working weight. It retains controlled screw feed and adjustable spreading width.
Choose it when: A suitably rated pickup or commercial vehicle supports the larger installation and you need fewer refills.
- 550 litre hopper · 155 kg empty weight
- 12 V drive · 0.8–6 m spreading width
- Approx. 720 kg salt capacity
- Optional AUTO-DOSIS · specify separately
Confirm whether the quoted hopper is standard or extended; an extension changes capacity and working load.
A larger hopper needs a larger load allowance. Using the listed approximate salt capacities, a full POLARO L is around 640 kg including the empty spreader; a full XL is around 875 kg. Add fixings, people, tools and any other equipment. A permissible partial fill may be necessary.
Need a smaller in-body format? Ask about the POLARO M 220 litre and confirm its dimensions, price and permitted working load for your vehicle.
Prices are individual listing prices excluding VAT. Vehicle-specific mounting, wiring, fitting, restraints, commissioning and selected accessories may be additional. Confirm the current price and supplied configuration when requesting your quotation.
Work through the seasons
Build the vehicle around the work.
The most useful installation balances output with the practicalities of moving between sites, carrying material and keeping the team working.
Spring and summer surface care
Use hot-water treatment on the planned weed-control route. Change to suitable pressure-washing tooling for additional cleaning work, with surface testing and a managed working area.
Winter access and treatment
Pair snow clearance with the selected spreading programme. Check the complete front and rear load when both tools are fitted, rather than assessing each attachment in isolation.
Daily logistics that work
Plan refill points, storage, wash-down and changeover access. Choose the capacity the vehicle and route can support, with enough remaining load allowance for the crew and tools.
Match the carrier
Which system suits your vehicle?
Start with the exact model, body layout and remaining payload. A 3.5-tonne vehicle rating describes the vehicle’s total loaded rating; it does not mean there is 3.5 tonnes available for equipment.

Pickups and 4x4s
Check the front receiver, rear mounting and loading bed separately. Front leverage and rear overhang can change axle loading even when total payload appears sufficient.
Vans and commercial vehicles
Confirm loading-door dimensions, bed access and suitable restraint points. Hot-water equipment needs an approved operating arrangement for combustion, heat, exhaust and hose access.
Electric and 24 V vehicles
Verify a suitable 12 V auxiliary supply for the winter equipment, including starting demand. A 24 V vehicle needs the correct approved converter; traction battery voltage is not an attachment connection.

Before you choose vehicle-mounted equipment.
Can I fit this equipment to any pickup or van?
No. Confirm the exact model, body layout, mounting points, electrical supply and remaining load allowance. A model family name, loading-bed photograph or receiver opening alone does not establish compatibility.
What is the main difference between the Pro 10 and Pro 20 Dual?
The Pro 10 is a single-operator hot-water platform. The current linked listing describes the updated Pro 10+ output with a 400 litre tank. The Pro 20 Dual has two heater circuits and supports two operators, with a 310 litre integrated tank. Compare the crew, carrier and refill plan as well as machine output.
Do the Pro systems need the vehicle’s hydraulic PTO?
The diesel Pro 10 and Pro 20 Dual featured here have their own engines, pumps and water heaters. They still need a correctly specified carrier installation, including secure restraint, load checks and suitable operating arrangements for exhaust and heat.
Can the Pro systems also pressure wash?
Yes. The listed systems support a pressure-washing mode, with suitable tooling and different operating settings from weed treatment. Confirm the required lance, nozzle and accessories. Test the surface and follow the machine instructions for each mode.
Does hot-water treatment permanently remove every weed?
Results depend on species, growth stage, root depth, surface condition and treatment technique. Plan repeat visits and combine treatment with removing excess detritus and monitoring regrowth.
Is the 4x4 plough the same as the UTV electric-lift model?
No. The 2.0 m 4x4 plough uses the carrier’s 12 V supply for powered lift, lower and angling. The featured UTV electric-lift model uses an integrated battery and manual blade angling. Specify the model around the exact vehicle.
What changes between POLARO and POLARO E?
Manual-dosing POLARO models set material flow at the machine, with spreading-width adjustment from the cab. POLARO E adds cab-controlled dosage. Speed-dependent dosing requires the appropriate specified AUTO-DOSIS option or purpose-built LISA model.
How large a hopper or water tank can I carry?
Use the remaining vehicle payload, axle ratings and mounting limits to establish a permissible fill level. Include the empty unit, salt or water, fuel, fixings, crew and other equipment. Tank or hopper volume does not establish carrying capacity.
Are these prices for complete fitted installations?
No. They are individual listing prices excluding VAT. Mounting, fitting, wiring, restraints, commissioning, training and selected accessories may be additional. Confirm what the quoted machine and installation include.
What should I send for a quotation or demonstration?
Send the vehicle make, model, year and body type; photographs of the front, rear and loading area; bed and door dimensions; load and axle ratings; electrical supply details; and the intended surfaces, route, material, crew size and refill arrangements.
