HyCut is designed for banks, uneven ground and other areas where the main mowing problem is not simply cutting grass; it is exposing an operator and conventional machine to difficult terrain. Radio control lets the operator choose a safer position while the tracked mower works the slope.
The petrol engine runs the generator; the 48 V battery system supplies the electric travel motors and mowing motor. That separates cutting demand from direct engine response.
When cutting load rises, the control system can reduce travel speed so blade speed can recover instead of relying on the operator to constantly judge the engine load.
Cut in either travel direction so fewer headland turns are needed on steep ground, reducing unnecessary manoeuvring and surface disturbance.
The CAN-bus system monitors the battery, generator, engine and electric motors, supporting fault diagnosis and visibility of machine operating data.

Is HyCut the right investment?
HyCut earns its place when the mowing problem is bigger than the grass.
A remote mower makes most sense when difficult terrain, operator exposure and repeated labour are driving the cost of the job. If your work is flat, easily accessible and focused on fine turf, another mower in the range will usually be a better fit.
Regular work on slopes makes operator separation, traction and predictable control much more valuable than on a one-off awkward patch.
If teams are spending significant hours with brushcutters or repeatedly repositioning less suitable machinery, the business case should include labour and exposure — not just purchase price.
Bi-directional cutting reduces the need to perform repeated end-of-pass turns on steep ground and helps preserve the surface.
CAN-bus monitoring and telematics give managers and service teams more information about machine state, operating history and diagnostics than a conventional mechanical mower.

Specialist inter-row mowing

The ITX Singola is designed for that narrow working zone, using a hydraulically positioned mowing disc that can follow the row and move away from obstacles rather than relying on repeated hand trimming.

A specialist mowing disc for vegetation close to plants and structures.
The 600 mm spring-loaded disc is mounted on a floating head and uses hydraulic side-shift for positioning. The spring return system allows the disc to deflect when it meets a trunk, post or similar obstacle, helping the operator work closer to the row while reducing the need for manual follow-up.

Long grass, meadow & conservation cutting
Cut longer vegetation without treating every site like rough scrub.
Reciprocating knife mowers and drum mowers are useful where grass is deliberately allowed to grow longer. A double-knife cutter bar makes a clean scissor cut with relatively low power demand, while a drum mower uses fast rotating discs and flying blades to move through long grass with less risk of blockage.
Reciprocating mowing is about clean cutting, not brute force.
Where a conservation site, meadow or long-grass area benefits from a cleaner cut and lighter power demand, a double-knife cutter bar can be a very strong choice. It is especially relevant where you want to preserve the structure of the sward, reduce unnecessary bruising and keep the mowing system mechanically simple.

For many professional teams the most economical route is not another self-propelled mower, but a cutting attachment matched to a Kersten UBS, K-series machine or compact tractor already in the fleet.
Pedestrian flail mower attachments
TSM models provide lighter-duty flail mowing from around 60–110 cm, while the heavier SCHLM family runs from 65–120 cm and is designed for denser vegetation and material up to approximately 5 cm depending on model and blade choice.
Compact-tractor rotary mower decks
Matev MOW-H/M combi decks bring side discharge, rear discharge, mulching and optional collection routes to compact tractors and out-front mowers. Current deck families cover approximately 140, 160 and 190 cm configurations.

Questions worth answering before you buy.
When should I consider a remote-control mower?
When slope, footing, hidden hazards or difficult access make operator position a significant part of the mowing risk. HyCut lets the operator stand away from the machine and can work on slopes up to 55° within the manufacturer’s operating limits.
Why is HyCut called a true hybrid?
The 48 V battery system directly supplies the electric travel and mower motors, while the petrol engine drives the generator that maintains battery charge. The engine is therefore not simply mechanically driving the tracks or mowing deck.
Flail mower or rotary mower?
Use rotary for regular grass where a conventional maintained finish is the priority. Choose a flail when the material is longer, denser or more mixed and you need stronger mulching and vegetation-reduction capability.
Knife mower or drum mower for long grass?
A double-knife mower makes a clean scissor-type cut and suits meadow or conservation strategies. A drum mower uses fast rotating discs with flying blades and is a good route when you need to move efficiently through tall, dense grass.
Can I use my existing Kersten power unit for mowing?
Yes, depending on the model. K2100 can use hydraulic mowing attachments such as the cylinder mower and 90 cm double-knife bar. UBS models can run rotary, flail, drum and wider double-knife attachments subject to power-unit compatibility.
