Collect more material and unload it where the job demands
Matev CLS collectors combine a shaped PE hopper, high-output turbine and tractor-specific installation to gather grass, leaves and light debris. Choose from 650 to 1,650 litres, then select low dump for simple ground-level emptying or high dump for trailers and containers.

Low dump or high dump?
Capacity controls how long you can work between emptying. The tipping method controls where the material can go when the hopper is full.
Simple unloading onto the ground or a composting area
Low-dump collectors keep the emptying process straightforward. They suit sites where material can be tipped at ground level, into a heap or onto a designated composting area without lifting over the side of another container.
Lift material into a trailer or receiving container
High-dump models add a lift-out mechanism so the hopper can empty over the side of a trailer or container. The tractor’s stability, axle loading, hydraulic services and unloading geometry must be confirmed before supply.
Compact CLS-SE or higher-capacity CLS-XE?
The smaller collectors prioritise compact tractor compatibility and flexible mounting. The XE range adds larger hoppers and a bigger turbine for longer routes and higher seasonal volumes.
CLS-SE: 650 and 850 litres
- 84.3 or 99.8 cm long, with a 124.3 cm width
- Light, self-supporting PE hopper construction
- Available as low- or high-dump
- Suitable where tractor size, manoeuvrability and storage matter
CLS-XE: 1,050, 1,350 and 1,650 litres
- Capacities for longer mowing and leaf-collection routes
- Powerful turbine and large filter area for efficient airflow
- Available as low- or high-dump
- Optional flow monitoring, lighting and inspection window

The largest ground-emptying collector for maximum time between unloading where the tractor and site can accommodate the longer hopper.
High dumpCLS 1650 HD
Maximum collection and high-dump capability for large sites, subject to tractor capacity, stability and complete fitment approval.
Dimensions and system differences at a glance
Dimensions are shown in centimetres. Published weights vary with dump configuration and selected equipment, so final axle-load and lift calculations are completed against the exact tractor build.
| Capacity | Family | Dimensions L × W × H | Published weight range | Turbine | Typical role |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 650 L | CLS-SE | 84.3 × 124.3 × 147 cm | 235–265 kg | 45 cm | Smallest collector for compact tractors and short routes. |
| 850 L | CLS-SE | 99.8 × 124.3 × 147 cm | 240–270 kg | 45 cm | More capacity while retaining the compact-family width and height. |
| 1,050 L | CLS-XE | 127.5 × 148.4 × 202.5 cm | 422–497 kg | 51.5 cm | Entry point to the larger XE collector and turbine. |
| 1,350 L | CLS-XE | 148.2 × 148.4 × 202.5 cm | 429–504 kg | 51.5 cm | Balanced choice for longer routes and regular high-volume work. |
| 1,650 L | CLS-XE | 171 × 148.4 × 202.5 cm | 437–512 kg | 51.5 cm | Maximum range capacity and the longest hopper. |
Features that improve fill, airflow and working time
The useful difference is not capacity alone. Hopper shape, turbine durability, filtration and monitoring all affect how effectively the collector uses its quoted volume.
Shaped PE hopper
The self-supporting polyethylene shell is designed to compress clippings and leaves so more of the stated hopper volume can be used.
High-output turbine
The SE range uses a 45 cm turbine; XE collectors use a larger 51.5 cm turbine for the higher-capacity systems.
Filtered exhaust airflow
The container shape, spoiler and filter area manage the outgoing air and reduce dust development during dry collection work.
Optional Flow Control
Matev’s monitoring option uses LEDs to indicate hopper fill and can warn of a developing blockage before productivity is lost.
Low/high conversion options
Conversion kits are listed for changing between low- and high-dump configurations on compatible collector families, subject to the final build.
Multiple pickup tools
The collector can form part of a system with a mower, vacuum nozzle or suitable suction pickup. Matev also lists a 130 cm rear suction bar for CLS-SE.

The hopper is only one part of the collector specification
Every installation needs the correct drive, hose connection, spoiler, hydraulics and tractor mounting. These components are selected around the tractor and the pickup attachment.
Choose the pickup attachment
Confirm whether material comes from a mower deck, vacuum nozzle, suction bar or another compatible pickup.
Match the blower cover and hose
Standard and conically offset 20 cm blower-cover options accommodate different tractor track widths and tyre layouts.
Configure drive and hydraulics
The correct universal joint shaft, hydraulic connectors and required services are selected for the tractor and dump system.
Confirm carrying or towing hardware
CLS-SE can be configured as a carried or towed collector with the appropriate wheel, support and linkage equipment.
Check the loaded collector, not only the empty machine
The correct model must remain safe and stable when the hopper is full and, for high-dump versions, throughout the complete lifting and unloading cycle.

Choose a capacity and unloading method

Choose how material reaches the collector
The same collector can support different seasonal jobs when the tractor and hose arrangement are specified for compatible pickup attachments.
Questions before choosing a CLS collector
Does the collector include everything needed for my tractor?
No universal collector build suits every tractor. The basic unit still needs the correct hydraulic connectors, blower cover, spoiler, drive components and tractor-specific carrying or towing equipment. Kersten confirms the complete bill of materials before supply.
Can the 650 and 850 litre collectors be towed?
Matev lists the compact CLS-SE range in carried and pulled configurations. The correct wheel kit, support equipment and linkage arrangement must be selected for the tractor.
How high can a high-dump collector unload?
The smaller SE range lists a maximum lift height of 185 cm. The XE high-dump range lists a maximum loading height of 206.4 cm and a loading reach of 46.5 cm at 1.8 m. Actual usable clearance depends on the tractor and container geometry.
Can one collector work with both a mower and vacuum nozzle?
Yes, a collector can form part of different material-pickup systems, but each attachment needs the correct hose, blower cover and connection geometry. Compatibility is confirmed for the complete tractor and attachment combination.
Specify the collector around your tractor and unloading route
Send the tractor make and model, pickup attachment, preferred capacity and whether you need low- or high-dump unloading. Kersten will confirm the complete collector configuration.
