Kersten SCHN 45 · compact snow ploughs

Clear winter routes.
Keep your machine working.

Choose a 45 cm-high snow blade for your pedestrian tractor, ride-on mower or compact tractor. Match the connection and controls first, then choose the width for your paths, entrances and parking areas.

What machine will you use?

Start with the connection, not just the blade width.

A complete mower kit and a blade for an existing linkage are different purchases. Use your machine and existing mounting system to find the right section.

Pedestrian attachments · 35 or 70 mm

Three compact blades for two-wheel carriers.

100 cm ST-K 35 installation on a K820 shown. The 70 mm models use a different connection.

Keep pedestrian routes open.

Compact two-wheel machines are useful where access, turns and obstacles make a larger carrier awkward. Angle the blade to move snow alongside the route and use a controlled travel speed.

35 mm and 70 mm attachments are separate systems. The 35 mm listing links to K820, K820 Pro and K1500. The 70 mm listings link to K2100, UBS and Matador M-Trac models; confirm the exact machine and connection.

Confirm the exact mower variant. These listings include mounting equipment, but the scope of the hydraulic pack, controls, hoses and fitting should be confirmed in your quotation. A model family name alone is not enough to establish fitment.

For a mower that will also carry a sweeper or blower, discuss the wider FKDR attachment system before choosing a dedicated plough kit.

Blades for an existing FKDR linkage

110 cm FK-FKDR installation shown. Choose the correct blade width for your mower and route.

Add a blade to the FKDR system.

The FK-FKDR blades use the FKDR front coupling triangle. A compatible hydraulic linkage provides lift, lowering and angling from the seat, and can support other suitable maintenance attachments.

These blade prices exclude the FKDR linkage. Confirm whether your existing installation has the required lifting and angling functions.

Compact tractor and outfront-mower blades

Choose the blade and ABR mounting arrangement together.

The FK-ABR blades suit an appropriately specified front linkage or lift system. The correct ABR-SCHN bracket connects the blade to that system; it is separate from the blade price.

Carrier → front linkage / lift → ABR-SCHN bracket → blade. Confirm lift capacity at the attachment position, axle limits, ballast and hydraulic controls. The blade is pushed by the carrier and does not need a rotating PTO drive.

The FK-ABR listings show hydraulic angling and 20 L/min. Kersten’s EK1 installation also describes manual angling as an alternative; confirm the exact control arrangement for your quotation.

Useful design details across the range

Guide the snow. Control the ground contact.

Curved mouldboard

The curve guides snow up and across the blade towards the discharge side. Plan where the resulting windrow will sit so entrances and crossings remain usable.

Sprung break-back

The blade can yield when it meets an obstruction, helping reduce impact loads. Inspect the route and work at a controlled speed rather than relying on the springs alone.

Skids and replaceable edge

Set the blade height for the surface and maintain the wearing edge. Correct ground contact helps avoid unnecessary wear and moving loose surface material.

Make the specification fit your site

Which attachment suits your carrier?

1

Identify the carrier

Record the full model, existing connection and controls. Photograph the mounting points.

2

Measure the route

Check gateways, wheel-track coverage when angled and space for displaced snow.

3

Match the controls

Specify manual or hydraulic operation, the lift system and any required power provision.

4

Check the fitted setup

Confirm capacities, traction, hoses, brackets and installation before ordering.

45 cm is the blade height. It is not a guaranteed depth of snow the machine can clear. Snow condition, traction, blade angle and carrier capacity determine what the complete setup can handle.

Before you order

Your SCHN 45 questions answered.

What does SCHN 45 mean?

It identifies the 45 cm blade height. Working widths vary by mounting family: pedestrian 100 or 125 cm; complete mower kits 125 cm; FKDR blades 110, 125 or 135 cm; FK-ABR blades 125 or 135 cm.

Are the 35 mm and 70 mm attachments interchangeable?

They are different connection systems. Select the model for the carrier’s actual interface and verify any proposed adapter rather than assuming every K-series or UBS machine takes the same blade.

What is included in a complete mower kit?

The FK-PAK listings include the plough and mounting equipment for the specified mower. Confirm the exact variant, controls, hydraulic pack where applicable, hoses and fitting in the quotation.

What is the difference between FK-PAK and FK-FKDR?

FK-PAK is listed as a mower-specific plough kit. FK-FKDR is a blade for the FKDR front coupling system; the compatible linkage and its controls are separate requirements.

Does an FK-ABR blade fit directly to the front linkage?

The correct ABR-SCHN bracket is normally required between the blade and the carrier’s front linkage or lift arrangement. These blade prices exclude that bracket.

Do all versions need 20 L/min hydraulics?

No. Pedestrian ploughs and mechanical mower kits use manual blade controls. The FK-ABR hydraulic listings specify 20 L/min; hydraulic mower and FKDR installations require their own matched control and power arrangement.

Does the snow plough need a PTO?

The carrier pushes the blade, so the plough has no rotating implement to drive from a PTO. The selected mounting and lifting system, and any hydraulic controls, still need to be specified correctly.

Will ploughing remove all ice?

No. Assess remaining ice or compacted material separately and include suitable treatment and follow-up inspections in the winter maintenance plan.
