Kersten KM 70 hydraulic sweepers
Big brush.
Controlled contact.
Cleaner roads.
A 70 cm roller, four widths from 225 to 300 cm and floating collection for demanding tractor and loader work. Move bulky debris while letting the brush follow the surface.
The current KM 70 range
Choose the width that fits your working space.
All four H models use hydraulic roller drive. Choose width first, then match the ABR 70 mounting bracket, collector and hydraulic controls to your carrier.
225 cm · hydraulic drive · Ø 70 cm
KM 22570 H
Choose it when: access and turning space favour the narrowest KM 70, while the job still demands the large 70 cm roller.
250 cm · hydraulic drive · Ø 70 cm
KM 25070 H
Choose it when: you need a broad pass for farm roads, industrial yards or site access, with a proven tractor and telehandler installation route.
270 cm · hydraulic drive · Ø 70 cm
KM 27070 H
Choose it when: you have open working areas and want more coverage per pass than the 250 cm model.
300 cm · hydraulic drive · Ø 70 cm
KM 30070 H
Choose it when: you maintain expansive yards or roads and your carrier can handle the widest complete installation.
Price the complete installation. Bracket, collector and options are separately listed. Product photographs show different installations and may include accessories. Check the loaded weight, including collector, debris, water and bracket, against the carrier’s capacity.
Mechanical differences that matter
Move bulky debris without forcing the brush into the road.
A large working roller
The 70 cm five-row spiral combi brush gives bulky material room to move. An inboard orbital motor drives it through a duplex chain, with hydraulic protection for overload and roller overrun.
Angling for a useful windrow
Manual 25° left or right angling uses a 400 mm ball slewing ring. Direct loose material to the chosen side, or add hydraulic angling for frequent direction changes.
Adjustable brush speed
The multifunction hydraulic block includes variable roller-speed control and a collector switching valve. Set roller speed and contact to the debris and surface rather than relying on excessive downforce.
Working over cambers and undulations
Ground following is part of the cleaning system.
A level yard, cambered road and loader boom do not place the same demands on a sweeper. The mounting, brush and collector each need room to follow the ground.
1 · Pendulum suspension
The sweeper can follow changing surface levels. Correct carrier float and bracket setup help avoid driving the full carrier load into the brush.
2 · Floating collector
The optional collector runs on its own gauge wheels. Its floating arrangement lets collection follow undulations instead of relying solely on the carrier’s lifting position.
3 · Brush-height adjustment
Standard single-lever adjustment sets roller contact through the running wheels. Optional KM Control adjusts height during work as the surface and brush condition change.
KM Control · automatic brush height
Sensors use hydraulic pressure to regulate brush contact through the height-adjustment mechanism. Cab settings let the operator fine-tune cleaning intensity while working.
Let the bristles do the work
Too much brush contact increases wear and load. Begin with the specified height and float settings, then adjust to the material being removed.
KM Control is listed for FKM 60 and KM 70 sweepers. Confirm compatibility with your machine build, height mechanism and electrical installation.

Match the interface, oil supply and loaded weight.
For tractor use, the chain is tractor → front linkage → hydraulic power → ABR 70 mounting bracket → KM 70. These H models use hydraulic roller drive; fitting front linkage alone does not make a working installation.
Carrier and lift
The range is presented for tractors around 80–250 hp. Horsepower alone does not establish suitability: check loaded lift capacity, axle loads, stability and clearance.
Hydraulic supply
Current models list 50 L/min. Confirm continuous flow, pressure, return routing and cooling for the complete working setup.
ABR mounting bracket
Specify the exact front-linkage, loader, fork or DIN interface. The sweeper does not normally bolt directly to tractor link arms.
Float and functions
Agree brush drive, collector emptying, angling and gully controls together. Set carrier float and bracket geometry before sweeping.
ABR 70 FRONT · tractor front linkage
For a suitable front linkage using a quick-attach A-frame or link arms. Confirm linkage category, dimensions, float and the complete loaded installation.
ABR 70 TELE-DP · loader mounting
For a specified telescopic-loader, tractor-loader or loading-shovel hitch. Confirm the actual quick hitch and the required ground-following arrangement.

Choose how the debris leaves the site
Collect it, or place it for a separate removal pass.
Collect the material
A matching SSB steel collector removes the arisings from the surface. Fully floating collection is useful where road cambers and uneven ground would otherwise alter collector contact.
Hydraulic emptying reduces manual handling. Choose an unloading point and check the load of wet debris before filling.
Windrow without collection
Where a separate removal pass is planned, use the matching front brush guard to help control debris discharge. Angle the roller to place material where it can be picked up.
Windrowing moves the debris; it still needs removal from drainage routes and the finished surface.

Useful options for the actual job
Clean the edges and control the working functions.
ASH 8570 L · left gully brush
85 cm hydraulic brush with variable speed, spring-loaded collision protection, storage position and adjustment. Bring edge material into the roller’s working path.
ASH 8570 R · right gully brush
Choose the right-hand installation to suit your travel direction and edge-cleaning work. Check clearance and the complete hydraulic control arrangement.
HSZ-450 · hydraulic angling
Adjust sweeping direction from the carrier. Requires a suitable hydraulic service; include this function when planning valves and hose routing.
EMV-KM 70 · cab control valves
Electric remote-control solenoid valves for the KM 70. Specify the supplied valve arrangement and cab controls for the functions you need.
WAS 200 KM 70 · dust suppression
A listed 200-litre sweeper-mounted water kit with nozzle rail and 12 V submersible pump. Use it where suppressing airborne dust is appropriate; it adds water and equipment weight to the carrier load.
Adhered mud and compacted deposits
Consider a scraper before the roller.
A hydraulic lift/lower scraper bar is listed for the 250, 270 and 300 cm machines. Discuss the material and surface before choosing it, especially where coatings, joints or surface damage are concerns.

Would another sweeper suit your carrier better?
Before you order
Your KM 70 questions answered.
Does the KM 70 need a front PTO?
The current H models drive the roller hydraulically. The tractor needs the correct linkage and ABR bracket plus a suitable continuous hydraulic supply; a front PTO is not the roller-drive requirement for these models.
Will any 80 hp tractor run it?
The model pages list a minimum of 80 hp and 50 L/min hydraulic flow, but those figures alone do not establish compatibility. Check lift capacity with the full working load, oil pressure and cooling, return routing, axle loads, clearance and stability.
Is the collector included?
The sweeper prices shown are the individual model prices. Matching collectors, mounting brackets and options are separately listed. Confirm the complete quotation and supplied contents.
What is the advantage of floating collection?
The collector follows surface changes on its own gauge wheels. Combined with the appropriate carrier float and sweeper setup, this helps maintain collection over cambers and undulations.
Can I fit KM Control?
KM Control is listed for the KM 70 range. It automatically adjusts brush height using hydraulic-pressure feedback. Confirm the exact machine build, height mechanism and electrical/control installation.
Can it be used on a telehandler?
The Manitou MT835 case study shows a KM 25070 H installation with an ABR 70 TELE bracket. Every loader needs its own hitch, capacity, hydraulic and ground-following checks; that example does not establish universal fit.
Can it be rear mounted?
The product specifications mention front and rear attachment with an optional setup change. This page focuses on the established front tractor and loader routes. Ask Kersten to specify any rear conversion, bracket and working orientation before ordering.
Which weight should I use for carrier checks?
Use the confirmed weight of the complete supplied installation, then include water and collected debris. Published model and collector figures are shown separately here; confirm what each supplied-build weight includes.
