Kersten E-series battery-powered equipment
Battery power.
Familiar hydraulic tools.
Sweep, weedbrush and maintain smaller sites with interchangeable EGO batteries. Choose a versatile hydraulic carrier or a dedicated weedbrush around the work you need to do.
Choose the machine for the task
Two versatile carriers. One dedicated weedbrush.
The K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E are self-propelled attachment carriers. The Weedo II E is a dedicated weedbrush without wheel drive. That difference matters as much as the power source.
Carrier shown with weedbrush; attachment priced separately.
Self-propelled attachment carrier
K 820 Pro E
Choose it when: A compact carrier for sweeping, weed brushing and seasonal duties on schools, estates and sports sites.
Carrier shown with sweeper; attachment priced separately.
Self-propelled attachment carrier
K 1500 E
Choose it when: Professional multi-tool work benefits from a vibration-damped adjustable handlebar, implement-change support and the K 1500 control layout.
Dedicated weedbrush; specify the supplied brush tools.
Dedicated mechanical weedbrush
Weedo II E
Choose it when: Weeds and moss on hard surfaces are the main job, and you want an adjustable brush head in one dedicated machine.
Specify a complete working package. Each machine requires two batteries. Ask for batteries, charger, wheels, working tool, mounting equipment and options to be itemised. The K 820 Pro E listing explicitly excludes batteries and charger; confirm the supplied items for every quotation.
Understand the drive system
Electric motor. Hydraulic working equipment.
Battery replaces the petrol engine
The EGO motor powers the hydraulic system. On the K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E, hydraulic drive provides variable travel and runs compatible powered attachments.
K35 tools remain hydraulic
The carriers use a 35 mm quick-change mount and hydraulic couplings. Battery power does not turn the connection into a mechanical or electric implement PTO.
Weedo is a different choice
The Weedo II E has a powered brush but no powered wheels. Choose it for dedicated weed brushing; choose a carrier if attachment changes and self-propelled travel are priorities.
Complete the battery-powered setup
Two batteries per machine. A charging plan for your day.
Plan battery pairs, the charging schedule and spare capacity around your working route. The machine price alone does not represent the complete operating setup.
Required operating equipment
EGO 56V · 12.0 Ah battery
Choose it when: You need the battery listed by Kersten for the Weedo II E, K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E.
Required operating equipment
EGO 700W fast charger
Choose it when: You need to recharge the listed EGO batteries between tasks or while a spare pair is in use.
Size the working route
Runtime changes with the implement, working pressure, material, travel and battery condition. Trial the most demanding task and plan around measured results.
Rotate complete pairs
A charged spare pair allows a quick swap. Check how long the depleted pair takes to recharge using your chosen charger arrangement before assuming continuous operation.
Plan beyond the battery
Allow time for collection, unloading and tool changes. Electric power removes petrol-engine servicing; hydraulic oil, hoses, brush tools and other wear parts still need attention.
A useful reference, not a runtime guarantee: Kersten’s March 2024 K 820 Pro E launch article describes approximately one hour of sweeping, depending on the surface and material. It does not establish the runtime of every battery capacity, implement or machine.

Choose the implement around the result you need.
These examples are listed alongside the K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E. Confirm the exact carrier, mounting version and hydraulic requirements before ordering. Attachment photographs may show petrol K-series carriers.
Put the equipment into a useful workflow
Clean the surface, then maintain it.
Paths and paved areas
Use a weedbrush to loosen established growth. Clear the dislodged material, then sweep routinely to limit the soil and organic debris that allow weeds to return.
Choose weed-management tools →Artificial sports surfaces
A suitable powered sweeper removes contamination and can loosen and redistribute infill. Match the brush, pressure and collection system to the surface specification.
Water-based hockey, sand-filled and rubber-crumb surfaces need different maintenance settings.
Winter access routes
Use a blade to clear suitable snow and a spreader for the planned salt or grit treatment. Specify tyres, working width and access before the winter workload arrives.
Plan spreading equipment →Check the complete combination
Match the mount, hydraulics and working load.
Identify the carrier
Provide the full E-series model and serial number. Weedo II E is a dedicated machine, not a K35 attachment carrier.
Check mounting
Confirm the K35 interface, carrier-specific bracket or flange, hydraulic couplings and control arrangement.
Match the tool demand
Check oil flow, pressure, tool size and operating load. A shared connection does not mean every K-series tool is suitable.
Trial the working setup
Check gates, turning space, gradients, traction and battery demand with the chosen attachment fitted.
Choose controls around the attachment. K 820 Pro E offers Eco and Turbo motor modes. K 1500 E offers variable motor speed; variable auxiliary hydraulic control and the brake-lowering valve are options to confirm in the quotation.

Before you order
Your E-series questions answered.
Are the E-series attachments electrically driven?
The K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E use an electric motor to power their hydraulic system. Their compatible powered implements are hydraulically driven. Weedo II E also uses a hydraulic brush drive.
Is the Weedo II E self-propelled?
No. It has no powered wheel drive. The operator guides the dedicated weedbrush; the K 820 Pro E and K 1500 E provide powered forward and reverse travel.
How many batteries do I need?
Kersten specifies two EGO 56V batteries per machine. The listed 12.0 Ah accessory price is for one battery. Add the charger and any spare pairs to the complete quotation.
How long will the batteries last?
Trial your chosen implement on your own route. Runtime depends on load and battery configuration. Kersten’s 2024 article gives approximately one hour for a sweeping task, not a universal operating duration.
Can I use my existing petrol K-series attachments?
Some tools are listed for the corresponding electric carriers. Confirm the exact attachment, carrier-specific mount, hydraulic requirements and serial numbers before assuming compatibility.
Is the K 1500 E a more powerful motor than the K 820 Pro E?
Both UK listings state a maximum motor output of 3.47 kW. Compare chassis, controls, hydraulic setup and the intended attachment workload rather than assuming a larger model number means more motor power.
Does battery power remove all maintenance?
It removes petrol-engine fuel and servicing tasks. The hydraulic system, tyres, working tools and wear components still need inspection and maintenance, alongside correct battery care.
Are a pictured attachment, batteries and charger included?
Use the written quotation to confirm every supplied item. The carrier photographs show attachment examples. The K 820 Pro E listing explicitly excludes batteries and charger.
