Quote the working system, not just the attachment. These are individual product-page prices, not a complete Grillo installation price. Brackets, PTO conversion, hydraulic services, controls and working accessories may be additional. Photographs illustrate attachments and do not establish fitment to every FD/FM model.

Understand the working system

The lift arms carry it. The PTO powers it.

Lift and mounting

The mower’s lift arms raise and lower the tool. A model-specific carrier bracket connects the attachment to those arms; most attachments do not bolt straight onto the mower.

PTO-to-hydraulic drive

Kersten’s documented FD 13.09/FD 2200 sweeper installation uses the offset PTO to run a hydraulic pump. The pump powers the sweeper and supports functions such as collector opening and the gully brush.

One matched configuration

A PTO-powered sweeper conversion does not prove that the mower has a spare hydraulic supply for every other tool. Match the drive, reservoir, return, valve controls and mounting to each attachment.

Check the carrier before ordering

FD and FM are families, not a universal fitting.

Give us the full model designation, serial number or year, plus photographs of the lift arms, PTO connection and any auxiliary hydraulic couplings.

1

Identify the mower

Confirm the exact model and generation. A similar-looking FD or FM may have a different interface or available power.

2

Match the bracket

Specify the lift-arm connection and attachment frame. The Grillo sweeper case studies use the ABR 45 FM bracket family.

3

Confirm the drive

Check PTO speed, direction, connection and any pump conversion. Hydraulic angling and controls also need a suitable supply and return.

4

Check the loaded tool

Assess clearance, working width, traction and lift capacity with the collector full or other working equipment fitted.

Your GrilloAvailable evidenceWhat to confirm
FD 13.09 Kersten’s NHS-site case study documents a KM 13045 M installation with collector and hydraulic gully brush. Bracket version, PTO conversion and complete controls for your particular mower.
FD 2200 Kersten documents the same sweeper approach for FD 2200 and FD 13.09. Generation and exact model suffix; the documented installation is not blanket approval for later versions.
Other FD / FM models The Grillo attachment page shows further installations, including sweepers, a blower and a plough. Individual engineering confirmation for the selected attachment; do not order on the family name alone.

Complete the sweeper setup

Collect the debris. Reach the kerb edge.

The documented Grillo installation combines the KM 13045 M, ABR 45 FM bracket, SSB 13045 K collector and hydraulic gully brush. Confirm the PTO-driven hydraulic package separately.

SSB 13045 K collector

SSB 13045 K collector

A 130 cm sheet-steel collector with hydraulic emptying. Pick it when debris needs to be removed rather than left in a windrow.

ASH 4045 KM gully brush

ASH 4045 KM gully brush

A 40 cm hydraulic side brush brings material from the kerb edge into the main brush’s path. A hydraulic supply and return are required.

Choose the finish you need. The collector removes debris from site; the gully brush reaches edges; a brush guard helps contain discharge when windrowing. Brush choice, pressure and speed should suit the surface. Dust suppression can be specified where needed.

Choose by the material on the surface

Different jobs need different methods.

Prevent the build-up

Regular sweeping removes loose soil, leaves and detritus that can obstruct drainage and provide a growing medium for weeds. Collection takes that material away.

Reclaim an overgrown edge

A weedbrush agitates established growth and soil beyond routine sweeping. Follow with collection so loosened material is removed rather than spread across the route.

Plan seasonal clearance

A blower relocates leaves; a plough pushes snow; a snow blower projects it. Decide where material will end up before choosing the working tool.

Before ordering

Your Grillo attachment questions answered.

Will these attachments fit every Grillo FD or FM?

No. Match the exact mower model and generation, bracket, PTO interface, available power and control system. The FD 13.09 and FD 2200 sweeper case studies provide installation examples, not universal fitment approval.

Do I need an attachment mounting bracket?

Normally yes. Lift arms provide lift and lower, while a carrier bracket connects the attachment to them. KM45 sweepers use an ABR 45 bracket; weedbrushes, burners and winter tools require their own matched mounting systems.

Does the sweeper use the Grillo hydraulic system?

The documented FD 13.09/FD 2200 setup uses the offset PTO to drive a hydraulic pump for the sweeper and auxiliary functions. Confirm the complete installation rather than assuming the mower has sufficient spare implement hydraulics.

Are the prices for complete Grillo kits?

No. They are individual listing prices excluding VAT, with dated fallback values. Confirm brackets, pump conversion, controls, collector, brush plate, gas supply and other accessories in the written quotation.

Should I buy a sweeper or a weedbrush?

Use a sweeper for regular debris and soil removal. Use a weedbrush when established growth or overburden needs more active mechanical removal, then collect the loosened material.

Can I use a pedestrian thermal weeder on my Grillo?

Specify a vehicle-mounted model and its matched carrier bracket. The TWB 100 ABR shown here is the mounted product; the pedestrian TWB 100 K listing is a different configuration.

What should I send for a compatibility check?

Send the exact model, year or serial number, photos of the lift arms, PTO and auxiliary couplings, plus your task, surface, access width and preferred accessories.
