One sweeper can perform very different maintenance jobs.
The main cylindrical brush does the sweeping. The accessory determines whether the material is collected, brought in from an edge, controlled in a windrow, or separated from a sensitive surface.
Reduce repeat passes
Collect or present material to the main brush in the same operation instead of returning for a second manual cleanup.
Get cleaner edges
A gully brush reaches where the main cylindrical brush cannot and draws the debris into the machine's working path.
Change the finish
Choose collection for a clean final pass, or use a brush guard when the priority is controlled windrowing.
Match the surface
Artificial turf can need a different collector principle from hard surfaces because excessive infill removal creates its own maintenance problem.
Collector boxes
Turn sweeping into a collection operation.
Collector boxes sit directly in front of the main brush so swept material is captured as the machine moves forward. Kersten offers sizes across pedestrian, mower-mounted and tractor-mounted sweeper families, with larger systems available with hydraulic emptying.
Choose a collector box when the site needs to be left clean in one pass.
They are particularly useful for dense material such as soil, moss and sand. Height adjustment allows the collector position to be maintained as the main sweeper brush wears.
- Pedestrian and small carrier routes: compact collector boxes sized around the sweeper width.
- Large sweepers: wider boxes with much higher capacities.
- Hydraulic emptying: available on larger sweeper families so the box can be dumped without manual handling.
- Artificial turf: use a sports separation collector when the target is light debris and infill retention.

Gully and side brushes
Clean the edge before the main brush reaches it.
A side gully brush reaches into gullies, kerb lines and edges, then throws the loosened material into the path of the main sweeper. Kersten offers mechanical and hydraulic versions, with larger left- and right-hand hydraulic options for heavier sweeper families.

Brush and debris guards
Move material without throwing it across the site.
A front brush guard is the alternative to a collector box when the objective is controlled windrowing. It contains debris close to the brush and lets the material drop immediately in front of the sweeper rather than being thrown forwards.
100 cm · 37 cm sweeper family

Choose it when: the job needs the material moved and contained, but not picked up.
Compatibility first
Match the accessory to the sweeper — not just the working width.
Accessory fitment varies by sweeper chassis, brush diameter, drive type and width. A 125 cm collector for one sweeper family is not automatically the correct 125 cm collector for another.
