Start with the machine you already use. Kersten’s SLDST spreaders use a matched hydraulic or mechanical drive. Lehner’s POLARO range powers the spinner and agitator electrically, with different levels of dosing control.

Requires the matching hydraulic provision and AK-SLDST-H- rear mounting bracket. Ask for the complete installed package to be itemised.

Reach paths and tighter spaces
A two-wheel tractor carries the spreader along pedestrian maintenance routes. Match the connection and drive to the carrier, then adjust the spreading pattern to suit the surface.
Combine clearing and spreading
A compatible mower can carry a front snow plough and a rear spreader. The FKDR hydraulic arrangement supplies attachment power; the spreader still needs its own rear mounting bracket.
Use a suitable 12 V vehicle
POLARO uses separate electric motors for the spinner and agitator. A mechanical PTO or hydraulic implement drive is not needed, but the electrical supply, mounting and loaded weight must suit the vehicle.

Hydraulic and mechanical PTO are different choices.
Match both the connection and the power drive
The 35 mm K-series model uses hydraulic implement drive. The 70 mm H-KU model is listed for hydraulic drive on the K2100. The M-U version uses mechanical PTO drive and is listed for UBS Hydro 9 / 13 / 16, Alpin 23 / 23 Pro and Matador two-wheel tractors.
An electric carrier can still have a mechanical PTO. The photographed Matador installation illustrates why the carrier’s propulsion type does not tell you which implement drive is required.
A 70 mm connection alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm the PTO or hydraulic system, attachment interface and the specific carrier model.

The SLDST uses an agitator, a quantity regulator and a stainless-steel spinner. The hopper grid helps intercept clods before they reach the metering area. Material condition still matters: damp or compacted loads need particular attention.
Support it between jobs
Swivel castors and a parking support are listed for the pedestrian spreaders. These help with handling and parking the attachment when it is separated from the carrier. Add the optional hopper cover where needed.

Hydraulic power to the rear
The SLDST 70 H-FKDR listing calls for an FKDR-HYDR setup. Its hydraulic provision powers the spreader at the rear of the mower; the front linkage can carry a separate attachment such as a snow plough.
The spreader mounts on the AK-SLDST-H- rear console. Include that bracket and the required hydraulic equipment in the proposal.

Provide the full model, year and existing equipment. Confirm the appropriate bracket, FKDR configuration, hydraulic connection and permitted loading for that exact mower.

Manual, electronic or speed-dependent?
“Electric spreader” describes the drive. It does not automatically mean electronic dosing or speed-dependent dosing. Choose the controls around how often your working speed and material requirements change.
Manual dosing · POLARO 70
Set the material-flow adjustment at the spreader. The cab control adjusts spinner speed for spreading width and controls the shutter and on/off functions.
The spinner and agitator are still electrically powered. Manual dosing refers to the flow setting.
Electronic dosing · POLARO 70 E
The LAS4 control panel adjusts material flow and spinner speed electronically from the operating position.
AUTO-DOSIS is an optional addition. Electronic adjustment alone does not make the dose compensate automatically for vehicle speed. Confirm the required GPS or vehicle speed input.
App and GPS · LISA listing
Kersten lists model 77525 with app control for width and flow, plus GPS speed-dependent AUTO-DOSIS.
This adjusts flow as speed changes, following the selected settings and calibration. LISA is a separate control system; it is not a simple app retrofit to a standard LAS console.
Confirm the current LISA configuration
Kersten’s linked listing describes a 70-litre LISA spreader. Lehner’s current technical table lists the 70-litre E model with LAS4, and the LISA app versions with 110- and 170-litre hoppers.
Ask Kersten to confirm hopper size, availability and the supplied control package before ordering the LISA listing. The illustration shows the control concept; it does not establish the hopper size supplied.

What will you spread, and what can your carrier carry?
Material condition affects delivery
SLDST listings cover salt, sand and grit. POLARO is listed for salt, grit, sand and granulated fertiliser. Specify the actual material, grain size and whether it is free-flowing or prone to clumping.
The standard POLARO agitator is intended for free-flowing material. Lehner’s saline agitator for slow-flowing salt is currently listed for 110- and 170-litre hoppers; do not assume that option is available on a 70-litre model.
Confirm suitability for a particular turf infill or specialist material before treating these as universal spreaders.
Capacity is volume, not payload
A 70-litre hopper does not mean a 70 kg load. Lehner quotes approximately 90 kg of salt for its 70-litre hopper, alongside a 29 kg empty spreader weight for the manual and E versions. Add the mounting equipment when checking carrier loading.
Actual material weight varies with bulk density. Coverage depends on the calibrated application rate, spread pattern, working speed and material; hopper size alone cannot establish how much area you will treat.
Check the 12 V installation
Lehner lists 12–15 V operation, a 25 A fuse, startup current up to 24 A and normal operating current up to 13 A. Confirm the correct wiring, protection and battery supply, together with bracket capacity and vehicle load limits. A 12 V socket alone is not a complete fitment assessment.
The manual and E 70-litre models are listed at 490 × 585 × 870 mm. Allow room for loading, controls and the spread pattern as well as the hopper itself.

ADP-SLDST hopper cover
A dedicated cover listed for Kersten’s 70-litre SLDST spreader. Specify it for the matching hopper; it is not the POLARO cover.
AK-SLDST-H- rear console
The rear mounting bracket required for the mower spreader. Match the complete console and hydraulic arrangement to the exact mower.
POLARO ATV / quad bracket
72107 · rear mounting option for a suitable ATV. Check the rack, fixing points, load rating and spreader clearance.
POLARO Cat. 1 bracket
72166 · Category 1 three-point linkage mounting option. Check carrier geometry, loaded capacity and the complete fixing arrangement.
POLARO pickup fixing
72108 · standard pickup mounting option. Confirm the vehicle-specific fixing position and loaded spreader support.
Choose the bracket with the spreader. These options are not universal fitment approvals. Include any adaptation, wiring and installation work in your quotation.

Which spreader suits my two-wheel tractor?
The K35 model is listed for K820 PRO / PRO E and K1500 / K1500 E hydraulic carriers. The H-KU 70 is listed for the hydraulic K2100. The M-U 70 uses mechanical PTO drive for the listed UBS, Alpin and Matador carriers. Check the full model and drive; connection diameter alone is insufficient.
Can the mower spreader fit straight onto a rear bracket?
The SLDST 70 H-FKDR requires its matching rear console and a suitable FKDR-HYDR hydraulic setup. Ask Kersten to specify the complete installation for your exact mower.
Does manual dosing mean the POLARO is manually powered?
No. Its spinner and agitator use 12 V electric motors. The material-flow setting is adjusted manually at the spreader, while the operating-position control handles spinner speed and shutter functions.
Does every POLARO E adjust dosing automatically with speed?
No. The E model provides electronic adjustment through LAS4. Speed-dependent AUTO-DOSIS is an optional addition to that control setup. Kersten’s LISA listing describes app control with GPS AUTO-DOSIS; confirm the current configuration and hopper size.
Does a 70-litre hopper hold 70 kg?
No. Litres measure volume. Material density determines weight. Lehner quotes approximately 90 kg of salt for a 70-litre hopper; check the spreader, load and bracket together against the carrier limits.
Can I use damp salt or specialist turf infill?
Confirm the actual material with Kersten. Flow depends on grain size and condition. Do not assume that every material, or an agitator option listed for a larger hopper, is suitable for a 70-litre spreader.
What should I send for a complete quotation?
Provide the carrier’s full model, mounting and power details, the routes and surfaces, intended material and desired dosing controls. Ask for the spreader, bracket, cover, wiring or hydraulic provision, optional controls and installation to be itemised.
