Matev tractor-mounted spreaders
Precise material placement, configured around your tractor and route.
Choose fixed-width SPR-BX placement for sensitive boundaries or adjustable SPR-DS broadcast coverage from 1 to 8 metres, with capacities from 125 to 600 litres and steel or stainless-steel construction.
Choose the spreading principle first
Fixed placement or adjustable broadcast?
The most important decision is not hopper capacity. It is whether the material must remain inside a precise route width or be broadcast across changing surfaces.

SPR-BX fixed-width box spreaders
Material falls across the width of the implement rather than being thrown beyond it. This protects vehicles, façades, glazing, planting and other sensitive boundaries while reducing overspread.

SPR-DS adjustable disc spreaders
A variable 1–8 metre pattern covers narrow pavements and large open areas from the same machine. Four capacities and two construction levels make the range scalable from compact tractors to long municipal routes.
View SPR-DS models →Why Matev stands out
Control where the material lands, how much is applied and how the spreader survives winter.
The Matev advantage is configurability without losing the fundamentals: choose exact fixed-width placement or 1–8 metre broadcast spreading, then match capacity, construction, drive and dosing control to the tractor and route.
1 · Placement
From exact 80 cm placement to an 8 metre broadcast.
This is the clearest advantage of the programme. SPR-BX keeps material inside a defined implement width; SPR-DS changes from narrow-route treatment to wide-area coverage.
2 · Dosing control
Control application rate instead of simply throwing material.
Mechanical, hydraulic and electronic regulation options let the installation match the level of operator control you need. Road-speed-related regulation is also available on suitable configurations.
3 · Winter durability
Buy the corrosion protection your workload actually needs.
Every SPR-DS capacity is available as ST or IX. Both retain the shaped PE hopper and stainless spreading components; IX upgrades the spreader structure for more intensive exposure to salt and winter conditions.
Complete Matev programme
Choose the spreading principle first, then the construction.
SPR-BX solves precise fixed-width placement. SPR-DS solves changing route widths. Within SPR-DS, ST steel and IX stainless are deliberately separated below so the corrosion-versus-cost decision is obvious.
SPR-BX · fixed-width box spreaders
The special advantage is containment: material drops across the implement width rather than being projected beyond it. That makes SPR-BX particularly useful around vehicles, buildings, glazing, planting and narrow pedestrian routes.

SPR-BX 80 box spreader
The narrowest fixed-width Matev spreader puts material only across the 800 mm implement width, rather than broadcasting it beyond the machine.
Why choose it: Excellent for footpaths, entrances and sensitive boundaries where material must stay away from parked vehicles, facades, glass and planting.

SPR-BX 100 box spreader
The 1,000 mm version adds hopper capacity while retaining controlled edge-to-edge placement across the implement width.
Why choose it: A strong middle option for compact tractors on pavements, estate roads and municipal routes where overspread is more costly than outright coverage width.

SPR-BX 120 box spreader
The widest SPR-BX combines a 1,200 mm fixed treatment width with a 230-litre hopper for longer routes.
Why choose it: Maximises fixed-width route capacity while preserving the core SPR-BX advantage: material remains inside a known treatment footprint.
SPR-DS · adjustable 1–8 m broadcast spreaders
SPR-DS is the flexible route choice. The same spreading family can narrow down for paths and open out for estate roads, car parks and larger areas, with mechanical, hydraulic and electronic regulation options and road-speed-related control available for suitable installations.
Lower purchase cost, professional capability.
Choose ST when value matters and your maintenance regime includes thorough cleaning after salt use. You still get the PE hopper, stainless spreading plate and the same 1–8 metre SPR-DS spreading concept.
Higher corrosion resistance for intensive salt work.
Choose IX when the spreader will see frequent salt exposure or when long-term resistance to corrosion is a higher priority than the lowest initial purchase price.

Material flow and winter readiness
Designed to keep difficult winter material moving evenly.
Consistent spreading depends on everything before the disc or box outlet. Matev combines hopper geometry, screening, agitator options and moisture protection to stabilise the feed.
The low-wear, lightweight hopper is formed to encourage material towards the outlet and agitator.
The grille helps keep large foreign objects away from the feed mechanism and supports reliable operation.
Agitator selection allows the spreader to be matched more closely to the behaviour of salt, grit, sand and other approved materials.
Keeping rain and snow out of the hopper helps reduce clumping, bridging and interrupted flow.
Lighting, reflectors, boundary-control equipment and tool holders prepare the spreader for practical municipal routes and low-light operation.
Matev range finder
Start with the route, then select capacity.
This guide points you towards the best starting family. Final specification must also confirm tractor payload, linkage, hydraulic services, material density and operating speed.
Choose SPR-BX when the material must remain within a fixed width.
Choose SPR-DS when the same tractor must treat paths and open areas.
Consider IX stainless construction for increased corrosion resistance.
Build the complete system
Drive, dosing and accessories matter as much as hopper size.
A professional spreader must fit the tractor, material and route. These are the decisions to settle before ordering.
Attachment and payload
Confirm Cat. 1, Cat. 1N or Cat. 2 linkage, rear overhang, lift capacity and the full operating mass of machine plus material.
Drive source
Select mechanical or hydraulic drive around the tractor's available PTO direction, speed and hydraulic services.
Dosing control
Choose mechanical, hydraulic, electronic or road-speed-related regulation according to route variability and required repeatability.
Winter equipment
Add covers, lighting, work lights, boundary spreading, parking supports, wheels, tool holders and the correct agitator for the material.
Professional accessories
Configure the spreader for the route, not just the tractor.

Moisture protection
Foldable covers help keep the material dry, reducing clumping and making refilling and inspection straightforward.

Lighting and visibility
Road-compliant lighting, reflectors and work lights improve visibility during early starts, night work and poor weather.

Width and boundary control
Adjust the SPR-DS pattern to suit the route and add boundary equipment where one-sided or edge-controlled application is needed.

Common Matev spreader questions.
When should I choose SPR-BX instead of SPR-DS?
Choose SPR-BX when the material must remain within a fixed 800, 1,000 or 1,200 mm treatment width. Choose SPR-DS when the route needs an adjustable broadcast pattern from 1 to 8 metres.
What is the difference between ST and IX?
ST models use robust steel construction. IX models use high-quality stainless steel in the spreader structure for increased resistance to salt and corrosion. Both use a lightweight PE hopper and stainless spreading components.
How many Matev spreader models are available?
The programme contains three SPR-BX box spreaders and eight SPR-DS broadcast models. The four SPR-DS capacities—125, 250, 400 and 600 litres—are each available as ST steel and IX stainless-steel versions.
Can the application rate be controlled from the cab?
Yes. Depending on configuration, Matev spreaders can use mechanical, hydraulic or electronic regulation. Road-speed-related regulation is also available for applications where the target rate must remain stable as travel speed changes.
What tractor attachment categories are supported?
The range can be configured for Cat. 1, Cat. 1N and Cat. 2 linkages, with other attachment arrangements available for selected machines. Payload, linkage geometry, hydraulic services and rear overhang must still be checked for the tractor.
Can Matev spreaders handle different materials?
The core winter materials are salt, sand and grit. Special agitators and configuration options allow the machine to be matched to different material characteristics. Particle size, moisture content and density must be confirmed before specification.
How does Matev protect material from moisture?
Optional foldable covers keep rain and snow away from the hopper, helping prevent clumping and bridging. The SPR-DS hopper shape and protective grille also support a stable feed into the agitator and spreading plate.
Which accessories are most useful for municipal work?
Common options include road-compliant lighting, work lights, foldable covers, boundary spreading equipment, tool holders, parking supports, transport wheels, hopper extensions and special agitators.
