Product Overview
The HKM 40 series is a professional Sweeper for mounting to the rear of sub-compact and compact tractors. . The light weight steel construction of the sweeper chassis is incredibly strong thanks to the unique design and use of advanced manufacturing techniques found in the Kersten factory. Today’s product is a result of many years of practical experience fitting sweepers to many power units. The sweeper is designed specifically for the smaller frame of a sub-compact tractor and to be used in groundcare applications.
Two widths of sweeper 125cm-150cm are available to accommodate the working width and weight capacity of the tractor it is fitted to. The Mounting frame gives incredible support to the sweeper with the weight going through the sweeper from the top where it is strongest. The sweeper can be angled to windrow material.
The HKM Series can be fitted with a collector box for collecting debris and a gully brush for keeping the kerb crisp and clean.

Sweeping on Hard Surfaces
When organic debris covers a hard surface it looks unsightly, but it also blocks drainage channels, which leads to surface water. Over time the material will decompose producing soil. Opportunistic weeds can use this soil as a platform to grow on the surface, which can cause damage over time. So it is really important to keep the surface swept and to remove the material.
Sweeping on Artificial Surfaces
In addition to the normal problems we face maintaining hard surfaces; artificial surfaces have infill, which gets compacted and also migrates around the surface. This infill can be de-compacted with a sweeper allowing the surface to drain properly. The sweeper will also even out the distribution of infill and stand up the grass, making the surface much nicer to use.
