Gravel Path Renovator- WE-Series

Choose the proper treatment for your Gravel Paths

 · 2 min read

Even if Gravel Paths are not seen that often, it still looks very nice when you do. For example, parks and other public or private areas look classier and more manicured when Breedon Gravel or other self binding Gravel products are correctly treated and regularly.

The picture below shows the result of the lack of maintenance and treatment.

What has happened here is that moss and weeds have become lodged in the gravel surface through debris that rots and forms a layer of soil in the gravel. This provides them with a nutrient-rich growing environment.

To restore the original appearance or make it even better with the correct maintenance, the Kersten Gravel Path Renovator is the perfect tool.

With its unique tines and knives which are made for using on weeds and moss bound surfaces, it de-compact the surface. Furthermore, since the knives can be lowered to the correct height and are angled, they can cut under the root of the weed and lift the entire plant to the surface. In addition this feature allows the surface to drain properly and the infill to be evenly distributed along the path.

In case of extremely compacted surfaces made from crushed stone or water bound, we offer an aggressive chisel set with carbide tips which can be used to loosen any weeds.

Now that all moss and weeds are on the loose surface, it can be easily pitched out, blown or raked off.

You even benefit from looking after your gravel afterwards as it will absorb less water now that most of the soil has been removed along with the weeds.

The last picture shows you what the Kersten Gravel Path Renovator is capable of and what you need to make your Gravel Path look classy and well-groomed again.

For larger applications we provide larger solutions:

The Kersten WE 110 or 150 with a working width of 1100mm or 1500mm is the ideal tool for renovating weed ridden or compacted Gravel pathways.
