Electric Snow Plough for Utility Vehicles
The light weight and limited electrical supply of a UTV requires some special considerations when fitting a snow plough.
We have created a light weight Aluminium Snow Blade that is designed specifically for Utility vehicles, such as the John Deere Gator, Kubota RTV, Kawasaki Mule or even electric Utility vehicles such as Garia, Melex or the Etesia ET Lander.
Integrated 12 volt electric supply
The Plough has a 12 volt battery built into the back bracket.
This battery supplies the power for the electric winch, allowing the plough to be lifted and lowered without taxing the altenator or electric supply of the UTV.
The plough has an easily accessible charging socket, to allow this battery to be charged when not in use.
Light weight Aluminium Snow Blade
Our snow blade is made from Aluminium, making it extremely light and corrosion resistant.
The blade is made from an extruded profile, allowing us to build in strength, whilst keeping the system light enough for the UTV to handle.
The Aulminium used is a marine grade, which does not easily corrode. This is anodised, which provides a further protection and a much harder surface finish than paint, making it less succeptible to scratching from stones and other projectiles.
Spring trip system
The plough is fitted with a spring trip system, which engages when the plough makes contact with obstacles such as sleeping policemen.
Obstacles are not always obvious when covered in snow. The trip system allows the blade to easily ride over a solid obstacle, whilst protecting the chassis of the Utility vehicle and the integrity of the plough itself.
2 inch receiver system
Many Utility vehicles come with a front 2 inch receiver hitch.
We utilise this sytem to fit the plough, allowing very quick and simple fittling and removal.
With just one pin, you are hooked up and ready to plough.
