Overview
The corrosion proof hopper on to 100HD is 51 litre 47kg capacity with a max spread width of 5.4 metres. The Hotshot is supplied with a fixed spread width deflector as standard. Accurate spreading rates may be achieved with the calibrated shutter control. The standard spread width deflector can be upgraded to an adjustable model using part M90000628.
Meyer recognise that these spreaders are used in demanding conditions. That’s why they are manufactured from corrosion proof stainless steel and polyethylene. The axle and wheel bearings are greasable and the gearbox is made out heavy duty Nylatron GS ® impregnated with Teflon. All Hotshot spreaders are equipped with a full one-year warranty. Replacement parts and accessories also carry a one year warranty.
Pushing a fully loaded spreader over snow and ice or uneven terrain can be frustrating. Large, gripping pneumatic tyres driving a gear assisted axle make the Hotshot one of the easiest to operate on the market. The T handle features a convenient shut off lever and access to the graduated material flow rate. Spreaders are supplied with a clump screen and custom-fit see-through hopper cover that keeps the weather out and material in. Light and strong, easy to lift in and out of a vehicle.
Applications
Top Dressing
Top Dressing is spreading a thin layer of sand or other material over a surface. It is usually used to control the build up of thatch and fill low spots on lawns. Another use for top dressing is spreading the infill for artificial turf, where it can then be brushed into the pile.

Winter Maintenance
Salt is used to combine with water molecules in order to raise the melting temperature, the reason we might want to do this is to prevent ice forming on the ground, which is very slippery. A salt spreader is an efficient way of spreading the salt evenly across the surface, so that it can be effective without wasting too much salt or manual effort.
