The SW85 is a dedicated sweeper for general surface maintenance in areas such as schools, caravan parks and other small sites. The hydraulic drive to the wheels makes it eas to operate when removing denser material.
Operating the machine is as simple as two levers, the right hand controls the operation of the brush, while the operator controls the forward speed by varying the position of the left hand lever.
The 5 row nylon brush is formed in a spiral, this allows bulky material to be moved more easily with less power than other systems, leaving a much cleaner finish.
Sweeping on Hard Surfaces
When organic debris covers a hard surface it looks unsightly, but it also blocks drainage channels, which leads to surface water. Over time the material will decompose producing soil. Opportunistic weeds can use this soil as a platform to grow on the surface, which can cause damage over time. So it is really important to keep the surface swept and to remove the material.More on Hard Surface Maintenance
Sweeping on Artificial Surfaces
In addition to the normal problems we face maintaining hard surfaces; artificial surfaces have infill, which gets compacted and also migrates around the surface. This infill can be de-compacted with a sweeper allowing the surface to drain properly. The sweeper will also even out the distribution of infill and stand up the grass, making the surface much nicer to use.More on Artificial Surface Maintenance
